We believe that God is our holy Creator and righteous Judge. He created us to glorify Him and enjoy Him forever; but we have all sinned, both in Adam as our representative head, and in our own individual actions in thought, word, deed, and motive (Romans 5:12; 3:23). We all therefore deserve eternal death and are, in fact, spiritually stillborn, helpless in our sins (Psalm 51:5; Romans 5:6-8; Ephesians 2:1) and in need of God to impart spiritual life to us (Ezekiel 37:1-14; John 3:3).
God sent His Son Jesus Christ, totally God and totally man (Philippians 2:5-11), to die the death that we deserved; and He raised Him up for our justification, proving that He was God's Son (Romans 5:1; 1:4). We must repent of our sins and believe in Jesus Christ for salvation (2 Corinthians 5:21; Mark 1:14-15) if we are to have Christ's perfect righteousness credited to us and the penalty for our sins accounted to Him.
This Gospel alone (Galatians 1:6-9) is the one we are commanded to preach (2 Timothy 4:2) because it is the power of God unto Salvation (Romans 1:16).
We believe that the Holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the all sufficient, authoritative, inspired, infallible, inerrant, and complete Word of God. They are the final authority of faith and practice.
We believe the Bible teaches that there is but one being of God, yet there are three distinct Persons who share this one being of God: the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. Each Person is fully and completely God and each is described in Scripture as possessing the attributes of God. The Father, Son, and Spirit have eternally existed in the relationship described by the term "Trinity."
We believe that Jesus Christ, who is the eternal Son of God and who is of one substance and equal with the Father, was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He is totally God and totally man. He is the only mediator between God and man.
We believe that Jesus the Messiah lived a sinless life and perfectly fulfilled the Law of God. He suffered for our salvation on the cross, died, and was buried. He was raised bodily from the dead on the third day. The Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father and reigns.
We believe that salvation is the monergistic work of God. It is a gift of God. Sinners receive salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, and by no merit of their own.
We believe that God created the universe and everything in it out of nothing by the power of His Word in six, literal, twenty-four hour days. Adam and Eve were created as our original parents, male and female, and were appointed differing and complementary roles in marriage as a type of Christ and the church.
We believe that our original parents, Adam and Eve, were tempted in the garden by Satan and thus willfully disobeyed the word of God, which as a result, brought the consequence of death and depravity to both themselves and all of their progeny.
The Return of Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is coming again to judge the living and the dead. This promise is found throughout the inspired Scriptures. Until His return, believers are to live lives that bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. The Church is to be busy doing the work of evangelism and discipleship, proclaiming the pure, uncompromising Gospel of Christ by teaching the Word of God.
